Los Angeles CA – An ethereal powerhouse of atmospheric haze and limitless sonic exploration, ROSE HAZE is the musical vessel for Los Angeles-based songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Kate Ramsey.

Marking the lead single from her first full-length album in five years, Rose Haze proudly announces the arrival of “They Are Here”, available everywhere now. The track is a monumental collision of shoegaze, progressive rock, and psychedelia, standing proudly alongside contemporaries like Chelsea Wolfe, Emma Ruth Rundle, and Blackwater Holylight.

“They Are Here” holds deep emotional significance, serving as the second posthumous release honoring the late guitarist Ruben Gonzalez. Following Ramsey’s relocation to California in 2019, she met Gonzalez, and the pair became inseparable partners in sonic adventure until Gonzalez tragically and suddenly passed away in 2024. Recorded during the very first sessions when the album journey began together, Gonzalez’s blistering, shredding guitar work echoes as the lifeblood of the track. After Gonzalez’s passing, Ramsey finished the remainder of the album alone, making this single a poignant milestone of grief, perseverance, and completion on an ever-transformational healing journey.

Lyrically, “They Are Here” plunges headfirst into the zeitgeist of modern extraterrestrial speculation, weaving themes of ancient and modern revelations with cosmic unknown. The narrative explores apocalyptic prophecies and cosmic disclosure, ultimately pulling back the veil at the song’s climax to reveal a startling philosophical twist: the realization that the entire reality is a simulation. Musically, it is an absolute juggernaut—massive wall-of-sound guitars, swirling psychedelic textures, and progressive complexity that pulls the listener across dimensions.

To bring this cosmic narrative to life visually, the single is accompanied by a breathtaking animated music video created by acclaimed animator Japhy Riddle. The visual masterpiece brings the lyrical concepts to life on screen, guiding viewers through alien encounters, apocalyptic revelations, and the chilling realization of a simulated reality.

“They Are Here” is available now on all major streaming platforms, with the staggering animated video streaming on YouTube.

About the video: Japhy Riddle is a singular artist whose current main form of expression is through animation. Riddle is guided by a simple, instinctual set of standards, which frees up the headspace to dive into the complex intricacies of science, math and computer engineering that really fuel his love of animation and visual artistry. Riddle is also an incredible musician.

An ethereal powerhouse of atmospheric haze and limitless sonic exploration, Rose Haze is the musical vessel for Los Angeles-based artist Kate Ramsey, who transmutes piano, synth, guitar, harp, bass, and flute into moody, ethereal rites that bridge the mystical and the experimental. Praised for a brand of “dramatic, majestic rock” (The Stranger), Ramsey translates the oddities, woes, and raw euphoria of existence into immersive soundscapes. Following years of single releases and collaborative artistry, “They Are Here” heralds the triumphant return of Rose Haze with a brand-new full-length album cycle.
