With its brooding atmosphere, powerful vocal delivery and carefully layered electronic production, “Father” embraces the darker traditions of synthpop and post-punk, occasionally bringing to mind the emotional intensity and sonic universe of Depeche Mode.

At its heart, “Father” is a song about absence, vulnerability and the struggle to find your own way. The lyrics paint a picture of someone searching for answers, confronting old memories and inherited limitations while trying to make peace with the past. The repeated plea, “Father, guide me home”, becomes the emotional centerpiece of the track. A desperate yet deeply human call for comfort, belonging and understanding.

Musically, CRED balances dark and melancholic elements with a compelling electronic pulse, allowing the song to unfold between introspection and dramatic intensity. It is a track that invites you onto the dancefloor while leaving plenty of room for reflection.

With “Father”, CRED once again demonstrates their ability to combine classic synth-driven darkness with contemporary electronic production and genuine emotional depth. A powerful addition to the band’s growing catalogue, and a reminder that sometimes the darkest songs carry the most personal stories.

‘Father’ will be available on all major streaming and download platforms through Town And Towers Records.

About CRED:

CRED is a Swedish electronic music duo from the country’s West Coast, founded by Bjarne Sund and Tony Berntsson in 2022. In the early days, Fredrik Bergman (also known from Etage Neun) joined as a guest vocalist, helping shape the band’s distinctive sound. Drawing inspiration from 80’s synthpop pioneers like Depeche Mode, OMD, Elegant Machinery and Pet Shop Boys, CRED quickly established their place in the Scandinavian electronic scene with releases such as Every Loss and Bleed. Music with a straight clean beat and great lyrics. The soft, crooned vocals about crawling shadows and fading nights feel cinematic and heartfelt. Their track ‘Chasing’ could maybe have been a soundtrack for a John Hughes film.

As the band evolved, Hans Karlsson came on board as a permanent vocalist, allowing CRED to further refine their style and deepen their musical expression. In autumn 2025, Tony Berntsson stepped away from the project, and CRED continued as a duo, maintaining their strong creative vision.

CRED’s music is built on a foundation of classic analog synthesizers and a passion for hands-on production. Their songwriting process is simple yet effective. Both members contribute ideas that merge into the unmistakable sound of CRED: melodic, atmospheric, and authentically electronic.

In the late Summer of 2025 CRED joined the Scandinavian electronic music label, Town And Towers Records, based in Denmark.

In December 2025 the album “Songs From The Vault” was released. In April 2026 the album “Bleed” was released. The bands new album ‘Polaroid’ is almost finished and will be released soon (December 2026 or January 2027).

Buy CRED’s music on CD and vinyl: https://elasticstage.com/cred

Swedish electronic duo CRED delivers an emotionally charged new synthpop anthem with “Father”. A deeply atmospheric and emotionally charged new single that explores the complicated relationship between a son and his father – or could it be with God? – the weight of expectations, and the longing for guidance when the person you once looked up to is no longer… Read More »CRED: FATHER A haunting electronic journey through loss, longing and the search for guidance

[7

post-23759","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news
["GET
