This latest collaboration marks another monumental chapter in their legendary discography, wrapping listener senses in pure cinematic beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the lead track&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/delerium-official.bandcamp.com\/album\/into-the-light\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>&#8220;Into The Light&#8221;<\/strong><\/a>, a beautifully dark opus&nbsp;featuring&nbsp;iconic American avant-garde singer&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/diamandagalas.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Diamanda Gal\u00e1s<\/a><\/strong>, this is the latest offering from Delerium\u2019s highly anticipated 16th studio album, &nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/delerium-official.bandcamp.com\/album\/exaudire\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cExaudire&#8221;<\/a><\/strong>, arriving in January 2027. Produced by Leeb and Fulber, their long-standing collaborator <a href=\"https:\/\/gregreely.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Greg Reely<\/strong><\/a> once again handles mixing and mastering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On &#8216;Dream Palace&#8217;, Delerium&#8217;s signature cinematic electronica receives a brilliant layer of guitar-infused sheen. With Magic Wands&#8217; <strong>Chris Valentine<\/strong> on guitar and <strong>Dexy Valentine&nbsp;<\/strong>contributing vocals and lyrics, the resulting hypnotic lullaby finds a welcome home amidst this vast, cinematic sonic landscape<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"nv-iframe-embed\"><iframe title=\"DREAM PALACE by Delerium &amp; Magic Wands\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jEMjAvJuW8Q?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like a surreal dream of its own, the captivating video, starring <strong>Soraya Rose Southwick<\/strong>, was directed, produced and filmed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/shahrnaznancysouthwick\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Shahrnaz Nancy Southwick<\/strong><\/a> and Magic Wands with lighting design by Chris Valentine, production design by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/bradsouthwickdesign\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Bradley Preston Southwick<\/strong><\/a>, and editing and color grading by Dexy Valentine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhen we first heard the music Delerium sent to us it put us in a trance for about 24 hours. We listened on loop again and again to see what we could do that would complement it. Chris came up with some guitar and I came up with a vocal melody. Lyrically I went with the dreamy feeling the song was giving me. The lyrics were inspired by the music and also the end scene of Contact a 90&#8217;s movie based on a Carl Sagan novel,\u201d says <strong>Dexy Valentine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDelerium liked our<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/vhnpl9xbUPo?si=DAz9sMDLzbMq0OSK\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>&nbsp;&#8220;Hide&#8221;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/a>video and wanted something like that so we got together with our friend &amp; producer Shahrnaz Nancy Southwick and her daughter Soraya Rose and shot it in a backyard garden. The imagery captures another dimension of the song that feels a bit more mystical. The video is about a girl opening a wooden box and, as she looks into it, she finds herself in a parallel universe\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Originally intended as a side project for Leeb and Fulber to explore dark ambient instrumental compositions, Delerium ultimately took on a long and beautiful life of its own. With Front Line Assembly already part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metropolis-records.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Metropolis Records<\/strong><\/a> roster, Delerium signed to the label for the release of the albums <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/delerium-official.bandcamp.com\/album\/mythologie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Mythologie&#8221;<\/a><\/strong> (2016) and<a href=\"https:\/\/delerium-official.bandcamp.com\/album\/signs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&nbsp;<strong>&#8220;Signs&#8221;<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;(2023). Bill Leeb also released his widely acclaimed debut solo album<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/frontlineassembly.bandcamp.com\/album\/model-kollapse\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>&#8220;Model Kollapse&#8221;<\/strong><\/a> <strong><\/strong>via Metropolis <strong><\/strong>in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe were first introduced to Magic Wands through Metropolis Records, who asked us if we wanted to do <a href=\"https:\/\/magic-wands.bandcamp.com\/album\/moon-shadow-delerium-remix\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>a remix for them<\/strong><\/a>, which we did for their song <a href=\"https:\/\/magic-wands.bandcamp.com\/album\/moonshadow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>&#8220;Moonshadow&#8221;<\/strong><\/a>. That went really well. When recording our new Delirium album, we thought it might be fun to do something with them,&#8221; says <strong>Bill Leeb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Since they are also with Metropolis, this made everything very easy. We are all extremely happy with the result. This is kind of a new sound for Delirium, which made us really happy, and they also created a video for it, which goes extremely well with the song. A wonderful collaboration, visually and sonically.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since their 1994 album<a href=\"https:\/\/delerium-official.bandcamp.com\/album\/semantic-spaces\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>&nbsp;&#8220;Semantic Spaces&#8221;<\/strong><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/delerium-official.bandcamp.com\/album\/semantic-spaces\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">,<\/a>&nbsp;Delerium has received two Juno awards and grown to massive fame through collaborations, involving vocals by <strong>Leigh Nash (Sixpence None the Richer),<\/strong><strong>Lisa Gerrard (Dead Can Dance), Kirsty Hawkshaw (Opus III), Emily Haines (Metric), Jacqui Hunt (Single Gun Theory), Matthew Sweet<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>and<\/strong> <strong>Kristy Thirsk (Rose Chronicles)<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Worldwide chart success came in 2000 with the anthem <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/Zw1oSqpS8yM?feature=shared\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Silence (featuring Sarah McLachlan)&#8221;<\/a><\/strong>, reaching #1 in numerous countries, its remixes also hailed among the greatest trance songs (the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/ugsQypXvJQw?feature=shared\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Ti\u00ebsto remix<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;was voted the 12th-greatest dance track of all time by Mixmag readers).&nbsp;Delerium has also had sync licensing success with songs in films such as &#8220;Brokedown Palace&#8221; and &#8220;Lara Croft: Tomb Raider&#8221;. <strong>\u201c<\/strong>Silence<strong>&#8220;<\/strong> was also recently heard in the hit BBC drama &#8220;Industry&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.magicwandsband.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Magic<\/strong><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.magicwandsband.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.magicwandsband.com\/bio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Wands<\/strong><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.magicwandsband.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&nbsp;<\/a>was formed in 2011, with Chris and Dexy Valentine first connecting&nbsp;through Myspace while living on opposite sides of the country (in Los Angeles and Nashville).
