ULTRA from January 1995. We will be discussing and playing music from all of the bands featured in that issue and discussing the contributors and the process of creating and publishing that 28 page tabloid style ground breaking periodical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The issue arrived right on the heels of Type O Negative&#8217;s massive commercial breakthrough with their 1993 album, Bloody Kisses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first issue of M.K. ULTRA Magazine (Jan\/Feb 1995) famously featured a cover and an in-depth interview with Peter Steele, the late front man of the gothic metal band Type O Negative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Key Takeaways from the Interview:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this foundational interview, Steele shared insights into his musical inspiration, controversial public persona, and personal views:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Production and Influences: Steele discussed the distinct, heavily-reverbed, and melancholy production style of Bloody Kisses.
