LOS ANGELES, CA — August 12, 2026 — A montage of previously unreleased footage from the upcoming official Static-X documentary Evil Disco has surfaced online, offering fans an unexpected glimpse into the highly anticipated film.

The short collection of clips appears to consist largely of outtakes and candid interview footage, including comments from Edsel Dope, who performs with Static-X under the name Xer0. In one particularly provocative moment, Dope appears to address the band’s success following the death of original frontman Wayne Static, stating:

“Static-X without Wayne Static, sold out, every night b*tch.”

The footage also reportedly features Dope discussing Wayne Static in a manner that some fans may find unflattering, potentially adding another layer of controversy to a documentary centered on the history and legacy of the industrial metal band.

The emergence of the footage has generated discussion among Static-X fans online, with questions surrounding how the material was obtained and whether the clips were intended to appear in the finished documentary.

As of publication, Static-X and the filmmakers behind Evil Disco have not issued a formal statement regarding the leaked footage.

The documentary is expected to explore the history of Static-X, the legacy of Wayne Static, and the band’s continued evolution in the years following his death.

Further details regarding Evil Disco, including its official release date and final content, have yet to be announced.
