ANTHRAX <\/strong>have today (July 10) released \u201cThe Edge Of Perfection,\u201d<\/strong> the second single from their long-awaited 12th<\/sup> full-length studio album CURSUM PERFICIO<\/strong> out September 18 <\/strong>via Megaforce Records<\/strong>. The new single is highlighted by clean guitar echoes and cymbals that gently shake until a blastbeat blows open the doors. Guitars buzz like a motorboat on the River Styx, making waves through the darkness. In their wake, a crushing rhythm trails the melody of lead singer Joey Belladonna<\/strong>\u2019s <\/strong>lament, \u201cMy heart breaks\u2026I\u2019m on the edge\u2026I\u2019m on the edge of perfection<\/em>.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the video, the multi-GRAMMY\u00ae Award-nominated New York hard rock titans\u2014Scott Ian<\/strong> (guitar), Charlie Benante<\/strong> (drums), Frank Bello<\/strong> (bass), Joey Belladonna<\/strong> (vocals), and Jonathan Donais<\/strong> (guitar)\u2014teamed up with director and Academy Award-winner Joel Harlow<\/strong> (Star Trek and Alice in Wonderland) to create a spectacular cinematic experience that takes the hero from a dream into an evening of magic where he encounters underworld evil, interspersed with live performance footage.
