The pioneering electronic dance act Lords of Acid <\/strong>have made a video available today (2nd July) for their song \u2018Dream Boy\u2019, which was released as a single in May. Directed by Vicente Cordero, who has also made videos for acts such as Ministry, Kat Von D, Black Veil Brides and 3TEETH, it can be seen HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe video was shot in Las Vegas with a cool mix of fans, friends and family, which gave the whole thing a really loose, fun and slightly chaotic energy,\u201d <\/em>explains band co-founder Praga Khan. “We filmed it in crisp 4K, but also used an old camcorder from the ’90s to give parts of it a grainy, timeless, almost otherworldly feel.\u201d

Previously described by the group as \u201ca dark trip through the streets of Necropolis, where addiction feels like salvation and nightmares wear a beautiful disguise,\u201d<\/em> the song is purposefully built as a dialogue between desperation and seduction.<\/p>\n\n\n

Khan points out that \u201cthe visuals play into the same push and pull as the song itself. There\u2019s a broken soul caught in the middle of the chaos, while our Acid Queen <\/em>(vocalist Carla Harvey) comes through like a dangerous angel floating in the smoke. The mix of modern and old-school footage makes the video feel a bit like a dream, a memory and a hallucination all at once.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n


The original single release of \u2018Dream Boy’ had been midway through a 30 date \u2018Cheeky Freaky’ US tour by Lords of Acid. The video comes following the recent announcement of 15 more shows in October, for which tickets can be bought HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lords of Acid have released three singles in 2026. \u2018Dream Boy\u2019 was preceded by a tongue-in-cheek collaboration with the hit-making US vocalist and DJ Princess Superstar entitled \u2018Karaoke Superstar\u2019 STREAM<\/a> | BANDCAMP<\/a>, and was followed by ‘El Mundo Est\u00e1 Loco\u2019 (The World Is Crazy) STREAM<\/a> | BANDCAMP<\/a>, a dance floor anthem driven by an irresistible chorus and a playful exchange between Lords of Acid and the New York City-based duo Tony & The Kiki. All three songs will appear on a long-awaited seventh Lords Of Acid album to be issued in late 2026 that is set to feature other notable guest vocalists alongside Carla Harvey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
