A vibrant mix of driving guitars, pulsing synths and a hook-laden chorus, the track draws on alternative rock, darkwave and industrial influences while exploring attraction, desire and the complicated motivations that draw people together. Frontman Sonny Lanegan says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2018Money for the Honey\u2019 is about the things we chase when we know they probably won\u2019t give us what we&#8217;re looking for. There\u2019s desire in it, there\u2019s attraction, but there\u2019s also that feeling of searching for something more. The song plays with those contradictions and leaves room for people to find their own meaning in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe phrase \u2018Love me for the money, taste me for the honey\u2019 became a kind of centerpiece for the song. It\u2019s playful on the surface, but it also hints at the different reasons people connect with each other and the expectations we bring into relationships.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Built around driving rhythms, layered electronics and one of the band\u2019s most immediate refrains to date, \u2018Money for the Honey\u2019 showcases Noir Addiction\u2019s ability to balance dark atmospheres with direct, melodic songwriting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"nv-iframe-embed\"><iframe title=\"Noir Addiction - Money For The Honey (Music Video)\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GGssNA9BPyM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded by vocalist, guitarist and producer Sonny Lanegan, Noir Addiction also features drummer Roberto Catanzaro and keyboardist\/percussionist Nessie Zorba. Based in Italy, the trio blends alternative rock, darkwave and industrial influences with a strong focus on songcraft and melody. Lanegan\u2019s background includes work in Los Angeles with White Pulp and The Dead Good, experiences that helped shape the band&#8217;s distinctive fusion of rock and electronic elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Money for the Honey\u2019 is released on 19 June 2026 across digital platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp. The band\u2019s new EP, Pretty Things Don\u2019t Last, follows on 16 July via SoulPunx Records.
