Engel at Temple Of Disharmony in Germany, this new album captures the band at their most technical and dynamic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cI am never fully satisfied with my records and I try to push forward and expand our boundaries with every new material\u2014without changing the soul and core of what Phantom stands for: Old School Heavy Metal,\u201c explains mastermind J.C. Garc\u00eda. &#8220;This record puts together very well everything that we are. Because of that, I think this is a juggernaut of an album.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"nv-iframe-embed\"><iframe title=\"PHANTOM - Out of the Mausoleum (OFFICIAL ANIMATED MUSIC VIDEO)\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Z7zeNuXAQ70?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Frequent church organ passages add a distinctive, almost liturgical atmosphere to the band\u2019s razor-edged speed metal. \u201cWe have a visual and musical identity related to vampires, horror, ancient folklore and dark fantasy,\u201d J.C. explains. \u201cThese gothic and classic-sounding organs add a mystical and dark touch to the whole mix.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Across the album, Phantom expand their instrumental scope with more elaborate lead guitar work and longer passages. \u201cIt\u2019s a natural evolution of our sound. We\u2019ve grown, improved and developed more technique and new ways of writing. I think it\u2019s interesting for the audience to witness that progression.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tracks such as \u2018Hordes Of Bats,\u2019 \u2018Out Of The Mausoleum\u2019 and \u2018Summoned To Kill\u2019 deliver relentless speed and riff-driven aggression, while \u2018Dracula\u2019s Curse\u2019 and the title track lean into powerful midtempo dynamics and complex structures. \u2018The Pale Remains Of Time\u2019 stands out as one of the album\u2019s most ambitious moments, combining melodic vocals, clean guitar interludes and subtle progressive touches. \u201cIt\u2019s meant to be a sad song,\u201d J.C. reveals, \u201cabout not being able to get over the past, heartbreak and things that haunt me until this day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conceptually, the album title carries multiple meanings. \u201cIt alludes to all the vampiric stuff we like, including games like \u2018Castlevania\u2019, but it also has a personal meaning\u2014\u2018we\u2019re not done yet,\u2019 \u2018it\u2019s not the end yet.\u2019 Most songs have double meanings. They seem to be about vampires and fantasy, but they\u2019re also discreetly about personal struggles and situations from my life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018Solomonari,\u2019 inspired by Eastern European folklore, dives into occult themes of ancient sorcerers, while \u2018Curse Your Name\u2019 and the acoustic interlude \u2018A Trail Full Of Sorrows\u2019 add emotional depth before \u2018Echoes From The Fights\u2019 closes the album at full throttle. \u201cI try to break the established formula and add more textures and layers while keeping the old school spirit,\u201d J.C. states. \u201cIt\u2019s a very personal record and a work I\u2019m very proud of.
