June 3, 2026 — July 3 sees the release of one of the most anticipated live albums of the metal year, a full all-format release for Live From The Guild Theatre<\/em>, recorded almost exactly one year earlier at the onstage launch of L.A. Guns\u2019 most acclaimed album in years, the mighty Leopard Skin<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rockpit.net<\/a> described Leopard Skin<\/em> as \u201ca hook-filled, melody-drenched delight\u2014perfectly mixed and balanced from start to finish. If you\u2019re a diehard rocker who still worships the \u201980s glory days, this one\u2019s for you. But don\u2019t get it twisted: this isn\u2019t some nostalgic retread. L.A. Guns aren\u2019t stuck in the past\u2014they\u2019ve evolved naturally, delivering a record that feels fresh while staying true to their roots.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MetalPlanetMusic.com<\/a> said the Guns are \u201cstill churning out bangers,\u201d and Maximumvolumemusic.com<\/a> applauded them for still having \u201ca way of sounding filthy.\u201d  In fact, that review continued, \u201cThe best thing about L.A. Guns is how unapologetic they are, and \u2018Hit and Run\u2019 nails it. \u2018We\u2019re just having fun,\u2019 sneers [vocalist Phil Lewis], as only he can.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It nails it here, too, sliding in between \u201cHellraisers Ball\u201d and \u201cLike A Drug,\u201d but Live From The Guild Theatre<\/em> is explosive from start to finish, the Gunners firing off killer versions of fan favorites tracing as far back as the band\u2019s debut album – \u201cSex Action,\u201d for example, probably hasn\u2019t featured in the repertoire since the eighties, but it\u2019s alive and kickin\u2019 here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sophomore set Cocked and Loaded<\/em>, meanwhile, spits out some of the most powerful shotgun blasts in the band\u2019s entire arsenal – \u201cI Wanna Be Your Man,\u201d \u201cThe Ballad of Jayne,\u201d \u201cRip and Tear,\u201d and the set-ender, \u201cNever Enough.\u201d  And Leopard Skin<\/em> gets both a triumphant airing and a delirious response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, longtime vocalist Phil Lewis<\/strong> and the man who put the Guns in L.A. Guns, Tracii Guns<\/strong>, have never sounded better – quite an achievement for a band that\u2019s been tearing up the stages of the world since 1983!  Ace Von Johnson<\/strong> (guitar), Johnny Martin<\/strong> (bass) and Shawn Duncan<\/strong> (drums) complete the line-up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first single from the album, \u201cElectric Gypsy\u201d which is now available to stream and download HERE<\/a>, is another from the self-titled debut, and it sounds as fresh now as it did way back then\u2026drop it into your streaming playlist and it won\u2019t simply wake up the neighbors, it\u2019ll have them hammering on your door, demanding to know what you\u2019re listening to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
