NYC art-rockers\u00a0Ecce Shnak<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0kick off their\u00a0UK tour<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0EMF<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0this week, beginning with\u00a0Manchester and followed by\u00a0Worthing,\u00a0Portsmouth,\u00a0Southend,\u00a0London and\u00a0Leeds.\u00a0\u00a0They wrapped up East coast and Midwest dates in North America last month following their 2025 West Coast, along with\u00a0Spacehog<\/strong>.\u00a0Ecce Shnak also recently featured on EMF’s stellar\u00a0track\u00a0‘LGBTQ+ Lover’<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0with both\u00a0Davey and Bella contributing vocals, the video for which was filmed during the 2025 tour.

This is all happening on the back of\u00a0“Vincent”<\/strong><\/a>, the first single from\u00a0their full-length album\u00a0\u201cDandy Variances”<\/strong>, out in autumn\u00a0via\u00a0Records, Man Records<\/strong>. \u00a0Operatic trills collide with frantic rock energy in a high-decibel\u00a0takedown of\u00a0a formulaic antagonist through the power of one’s own voice. Directed and edited by DJay Brawner and\u00a0produced by Brawner, Brooks Jones, Beth Narducci and David Roush,\u00a0the video<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>is\u00a0an homage to superb music videos of yesteryear – for Meshuggah\u2019s \u201cBleed\u201d and\u00a0311’s \u201cDown\u201d.

Formed in the mid-noughties and forged in NYC’s experimental scene, Ecce Shnak (pronounced Eh-kay sh-knock)\u00a0is made up of\u00a0David Roush<\/strong>\u00a0(composer, bassist and one of two singers),\u00a0Bella Komodromos<\/strong>\u00a0(vocals),\u00a0Chris Krasnow<\/strong>\u00a0(guitar),\u00a0Gannon Ferrell\u00a0<\/strong>(guitar), and\u00a0Henry Buchanan-Vaughn<\/strong>\u00a0(drums).\u00a0

“We, Ecce Shnak and EMF, are absolutely thrilled to BOOMshnakalaka our way through 6 dates in EMF\u2019s homeland… It will be EMF and Ecce Shnak\u2019s 3rd musical voyage together, after our trampucings through the West Coast of the US in June 2025 and parts of the East Coast this past month,” says\u00a0David Roush<\/strong>.

Ecce\u00a0Shnak\u00a0has a reputation for astounding performances, their music a volatile yet meticulously crafted ecosystem, where technical precision meets a sense of inspired mayhem. Their\u00a02025\u00a0‘Shadows Grow Fangs’ EP<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0was\u00a0recorded and produced by\u00a0Jeff Lucci<\/strong><\/a>, mixed by\u00a0Nicholas Vernhes<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>(Animal Collective, Deerhunter, Wild Nothing, War on Drugs)\u00a0<\/strong>and mastered by Grammy award-winning engineer\u00a0Joe LaPorta<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(David Bowie, The Weeknd, Foo Fighters, Vampire Weekend)<\/strong>.

“Vincent is a mid-tempo, jumpy, flash-in-the-pan hardcore song with classical art song vocals. I originally wrote it for a film that was never made but was imagined by a classmate of mine at Temple University in Philadelphia in 2015. The character Vincent is an archetype of a smug, inconsiderate jerk most of us occasionally come across, try as we might to avoid them. Vincent is not an absolute scoundrel, but he is wack enough to rightly deserve the average person\u2019s indignant eye-roll,” says\u00a0David Roush<\/strong>.

“Ultimately, the narrator resolves to overthrow Vincent\u2019s jerkface\u2019itude in the final refrain:\u00a0\u201cI\u2019ll destroy your equipment with my voice!\u201d<\/em>\u00a0If you have a medium-tier opponent in your life whom you would like to rid yourself of somehow, you can sing this line to yourself. Hopefully your Vincent will buzz off and go kick rocks!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
