I never thought I’d see the day that I’d actually want to go to the theater and see a Superman related film but the 2026 film starring Milly Alcock is a sure fire must see for me. I last saw a Superman film in a theater in the summer of 1983 when I was 18, fresh out of High School and poised to move away from rural Ohio to Dallas Texas and the film was Superman 3. This Supergirl drinks, swears and is a contender for a young Jenna Jameson lookalike champion and it has the motion picture debut of Lobo!  (portrayed by Jason Momoa<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lobo is a Czarnian with exceptional strength and fortitude. He enjoys nothing better than mindless violence and intoxication, and killing as an end in itself; his name roughly translates as “he who devours your entrails and thoroughly enjoys it”. He is arrogant and self-centered, focusing almost solely on his own pleasures, although he proudly lives up to the letter of his promises \u2013 but always no more or no less than what he promised. Lobo is the last of his kind, having killed most of his species with a scorpion-like creature. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally and maybe, just maybe there will be a DC movie other than Batman’s big screen features worth it. They do fine on the small screen that’s for sure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A very very sad day. My all time favorite restaurant on the north side. I’ve taken many guests, friends, dates and rock stars to El Palmar over the years. I’ll be going back with a couple good friends to eat one last time and to say goodbye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years I’ve spent many hours and much more money in El Palmar than any local restaurant. When I do my expenses at the end of every year I’m flabbergasted by the amount of money I’ve spent there. But its within good reason. I can always count on excellent Mexican food and really good service. The menu has been extensive as well as impressive <\/p>\n\n\n

Here’s the skinny. Over a million people come together for the Chicago Pride Parade and as you might know I live in the heart of the parade route, so at 9 AM we’ll take our chairs and coolers and grab a spot at Broadway and Irving Park Road (a 2 block walk). The parade start time is at 11 AM and when its over we’ll all meet up at ASSMANS Bar and Grill \/ Casa Diablo for drinks food and music all day long by the Cocks!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Same drill. Bring a covered dish, something for the grill and alcohol to share. As always we need lots of ice. Please don’t drive as there will be no parking available in the area that day. Bring what you can with you as Walgreens will be empty of carryout. If you’ve been here and are a repeat offender you know how we roll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve been going to this location since it opened and the food is always top notch however the service isn’t always on par. Saturday 5\/16\/2026 our service was exceptional and I didn’t get our cashier\/servers name but they were on register 3 (R3) when we arrived just before noon. My friend and I were greeted in a very friendly\/fun manner and I was complimented on my cowboy hat and as I was getting my drink my friend was told we looked like we were going to a MOTORHEAD concert, which we took as a compliment becasue we bother work in the industry, and I’ve seen MOTORHEAD more times than I can count going all the way back to the late 80’s We seated and our food came out unbelievably fast and it was delicious. We both had the Colby Jack Pub Burger value baskets and as excepted they are very fresh tasting and the fries are also excellent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A very nice surprise I wasn’t expecting was that unlike other current fast food restaurants Culvers doe snot ask for a tip when payment is made. They also didn’t charge us an additional fee for mayo packets. Another bonus in this day and age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our cashier checked in with a few times and we enjoyed our meals still being friendly and fun. At the end we did our surveys on the receipt and got free custard as a reward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Up till this day my favorite Chicago location has been the location on W Montrose under the CTA Brown Line but this experience has changed that and it much closer to home.<\/p>\n\n\n

Obsession<\/em>, written and directed by former YouTuber Curry Barker, starring relative unknowns Inde Navarrette and Michael Johnston, was reportedly made for a budget of just $750,000 to $1 million, almost unheard of in today\u2019s Hollywood landscape. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 It’s a strong communal horror experience<\/em> and one of the more creative indie horror films to emerge in recent memory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
