After Chicago alt-rock outfit <\/strong>The Joy Thieves<\/a>‘<\/strong> boisterous April with the release of \u2018The Wrong End of Your Rifle\u2019<\/strong><\/a> and bombastic video from Lumbra Productions<\/strong><\/a>, they present the second taste of their full-length album <\/strong>‘Apocalypse Pending’<\/strong><\/a>, out June 5th via Armalyte Industries<\/strong><\/a>. ‘No Anchor’ <\/strong><\/a>doesn\u2019t just make noise, but detonates with intent\u2014leaving scorch marks where complacency used to stand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018No Anchor\u2019<\/strong> examines how increased isolation in our modern world has pushed people towards amorality and an increased sense of hopeless nihilism. Featuring Chris Connelly<\/strong> <\/a>(Fini Tribe, Revolting Cocks, Ministry, Pigface)<\/strong> on vocals, this song articulates a world slipping free of moral gravity. Longtime mavericks at the edge of collapse, the band captures the zeitgeist with such precision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the first track vents our collective fury at a world where corporate giants and billionaires operate with total impunity, this new single shifts the lens toward the resulting decay of the individual, exploring a chilling world where the absence of a moral “anchor” leads to total societal and personal dissolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
