KMFDM<\/strong> released their new album, \u2018ENEMY\u2019, in February 2026 to some of the best reviews of their 40+ year career. Among its many highlights is a song entitled \u2018YO\u00dc\u2019, which is sung by Annabella Konietzko, the daughter of band mainstays Sascha K and Lucia Cifarelli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018YO\u00dc\u2019 has now been remixed by Matia Simovich aka INHALT and is released as a single today. The owner of Infinite Power Studios in Los Angeles, Simovich has previously collaborated as a co-writer and\/or producer with Peter Baumann (Tangerine Dream), Boy Harsher, Nitzer Ebb, Patriarchy and Madeline Goldstein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs a producer, I feel like I\u2019m always trying to pave the way for the new, but none of us are above our foundational influences,\u201d<\/em> says Simovich. \u201cSuch is KMFDM for me; a teenage instruction manual on how to arrange a song and subvert the status quo all packaged under an Ultra Heavy Beat. To remix your heroes is no small task, so the entire mix was done purely on hardware samplers and synthesisers, using a Synclavier PSMT system, an analog Neve console and mixing straight to tape. The final outcome has a classic 12\u201d club vibe stylistically but with an added INHALT touch and bound by a profound appreciation for all that is KMFDM, old and new.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Society is in a shambles and fascism is in fashion, but the Ultra Heavy Beat remains resolute and resolved to rise up and rip the system! After more than four decades of conceptual continuity and distinction through diversity, KMFDM recently issued \u2018ENEMY\u2019, their 24th album. Previewed with the release of the songs \u2018OUBLIETTE’ and its title track as singles, the album has received numerous rave reviews.

KMFDM keeps moving, dancing on the blood-dimmed tide, roaring as a rough beast to make noise against a world that demands the silence of ignorance. Join the Ultra Heavy Beat and make yourself the ENEMY of hypocrisy, discrimination and injustice!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
