Maybe a mysterious mixture of all three. Boise, Idaho\u2019s AKA BELLE are releasing their new double album All Time is Now, Now is All You Have + The Time for Love is Always Now via Moon Ruins Records on April 24th, 2026. Featuring the singles \u201cSix Severed Feet\u201d, \u201cFittin In\u201d, \u201cThe Envy Of Venus\u201d, and \u201cRadiant\u201d, the album is a shimmering powerhouse of divine energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Songwriting couple Catherine and Sam Merrick teamed up with longtime friends Anthony Mulparry and Jake Stigers to form AKA BELLE. The band\u2019s fifth member, Christine Nygard, would later join after experiencing the band\u2019s bewitching, ceremonial-like live show. In fact, it\u2019s those performances that have endeared AKA Belle to the Pacific Northwest music community. With the release of their new album, AKA BELLE aims to harness the stellar potency of those performances and share them with the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recorded at Chop Shop Recording Services in Boise, Idaho, and HQ Performance Space in La Grande, Oregon, All Time is Now, Now is All You Have + The Time for Love is Always Now combines psychedelic blues with hints of bossa-nova, \u201860s teen pop, \u201870s punk rock snark, with eclectic instrumentation including vibraphone and theremin to create an abundantly diverse sound that harkens back to the pinnacle of protest rock. Using a process the band has dubbed \u201cLive, 2-Stage Cosmophonic Recording\u201d- recording all the instruments live in one take, then standing in a circle to record all the band members&#8217; vocals in a second live take -they were able to capture the power of the moment and translate that energy into the album.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"nv-iframe-embed\"><iframe title=\"FITTIN&#039; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>With its ethereal cover art and marbled vinyl pressing, AKA BELLE wanted to create an album that was physically and sonically impactful. \u201cThe whole package is meant to be a piece of art,\u201d says vocalist Catherine Merrick, \u201cthat was important to us, to make something beautiful to hold and look at as well as listen to.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All Time is Now, Now is All You Have + The Time for Love is Always Now encompasses a fascination with nature and the Universe, but there is an underlying urgency weaving through the album: \u201cEnvy of Venus,\u201d a dramatic evangelical style damnation sung from the perspective of Mother Earth; the hypnotic plea for bodily autonomy &#8211; and a brief trip through the historical suppression of women &#8211; in \u201cRaise Power;\u201d the more than ever relevance of \u201cNew Highs in Leadership;\u201d they share their yearning for connection and the anxieties of living in our current world of distraction\/uncertainty (\u201cTransmission \u201874,\u201d \u201cFittin\u2019 In\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These heartfelt messages for humanity are lovingly balanced with psychedelic, surprisingly quirky mantras; reminders to embrace our unique inner divinity; likening sunlight to a first kiss; introducing you, gentle listener, to travelling salesmen promoting time travel; and inviting you to swim in the dreamy warm water of morning dew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AKA BELLE have summoned the cosmos and present to you their creation &#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;it\u2019s radiant, baby &#8211; AKA BELLE was formed by songwriters Catherine (vocals, guitar, MalletKat) and Sam Merrick (guitars, vocals) &#8211; who are married; long time friend Anthony Mulparry (stand up bass), Jake Stigers (who Catherine has known since he was 8 years old) on percussion and Christine Nygard (vocals, guitar, theremin), who first saw the band play when when she was 17 and manifested the dream to join them by the time she was 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, cult\/family\u2026yes, sort of\u2026..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Veterans of the Boise music scene, they have performed at every Treefort Music Festival, shared the stage with The Shivas, Federale, Family Worship Center, Heartless Bastards, to name a few; as well as headlining Boise\u2019s Hyde Park Street Fair multiple times (this year included).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All Time is Now, Now is All You Have + The Time for Love is Always Now<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The band are set to release not one, but two vinyl records on April 24th 2026 on Moon Ruins Records &#8211;
