Legendary ’70s rock band ANGEL<\/strong> is putting the finishing touches on a new studio album, tentatively due later in the year via Cleopatra Records<\/strong>. The 12-song effort will mark ANGEL<\/strong>‘s third album on Cleopatra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ANGEL<\/strong>‘s 2026-2027 farewell tour will kick off on March 27 at Wildey Theatre in Edwardsville, Illinois. Fellow legendary rockers STARZ<\/strong> will be the special guests on many of the shows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ANGEL<\/strong> will be playing songs from all the band’s albums, including such classics as “Tower”<\/strong>, “Can You Feel It”<\/strong>, “Rock And Rollers”<\/strong>, “The Fortune”<\/strong> and “Don’t Leave Me Lonely”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to singer Frank DiMino<\/strong> and guitarist Punky Meadows<\/strong>, the current ANGEL<\/strong> lineup includes Danny Farrow<\/strong> on rhythm guitar, Charlie Calv<\/strong> on keyboards and Billy Orrico<\/strong> on drums, all of whom have been with the band since 2018. Rounding the lineup is bassist Tommy “T-Bone” Caradonna<\/strong>, who joined in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DiMino<\/strong> said: “Like a streaking comet, some things come around only once or twice in a lifetime. Make yourself a promise and don’t miss it. The ANGEL<\/strong> farewell tour!!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meadows<\/strong> chimed in: “Can’t wait to see all of our ANGEL<\/strong> fans on tour this year. Everyone should come on tour with us, and party till the break of dawn!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The ANGEL<\/strong> album is coming along fantastically!” he continued. “Great songs and great vibe! I can’t wait for it to be released and hit the streets and put into everyone’s hands! Rock loud and proud!!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A year ago, DiMino<\/strong> described the current touring environment to the Edwardsville Intelligencer<\/a> as “180 degrees” different from what it was during the early days of ANGEL<\/strong>.”We have to do stuff now [to prepare for shows],” DiMino<\/strong> said. “We used to do all these big shows with our road crew and there were things we didn\u2019t have to worry about, but now we have only two guys working for us. We used to take a soundman with us, and we don’t have that luxury anymore, and now that’s done by the people who are at whatever venue we’re playing. We also must make sure that all our equipment is running right for the soundchecks and our crew used to do that before we stepped on stage. It’s not a bad thing; it’s just different than what it was.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a separate interview with Metal-Rules.com<\/a>, DiMino<\/strong> stated about that fact that ANGEL<\/strong> was celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025: “It is unbelievable. When I think back on it, and when someone first said, ‘Well, it’s the 50th anniversary,’ I said, ‘What are you talking about?’ You know, it’s kind of crazy when I think about it. I look back and go, ‘Really?’ Sometimes it feels like it was just yesterday, and other times it seems like such a long time ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“But yeah, it’s fun to celebrate that first album. We had such great energy in the beginning when the five of us first got together and played. I think everyone felt the same thing. Back then, we were very young, playing with a lot of different people, and there was a little scene in D.C., in Georgetown, where bands would go see other bands in different clubs. So, for the five of us to come together and form one band was pretty exciting. And from the first chord we played together, I think we all felt that this was something we could really build and turn into something special.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
