The group’s debut album, ‘Viral Extinction’, was released three years later. Highlighting Ross’ compositional skills via intricate programming that included symphonic elements, ‘Belief Control’ (2001) solidified their status and led to a record deal with Metropolis Records for the US release of ‘Strain’ (2004). Adding new layers of acoustic and electronic percussion, guitar and choral effects, the result was a widely acclaimed epic and anthemic sounding record.

Then, silence. For almost two decades, Flesh Field lay dormant, even as the group’s songs were placed in films including ‘The Mill’, TV shows such as ‘True Blood’ and video games like ‘Project Gotham Racing’. ‘Voice of the Echo Chamber’ suddenly appeared in 2023, a concept work with each of its ten tracks representing stages of political radicalisation and violence. It was followed by the companion piece ‘Voice of Reason’ EP in 2024 and reissues of ‘Viral Extinction’ and ‘Belief Control’ in 2025.

Stream | Bandcamp

Official Site | Facebook | Instagram

Ian Ross 2026 photo The US electro-industrial act Flesh Field have released a brand new album entitled ‘On Enmity’ today (20th February) on Metropolis Records. “This record contains the most personal material that I have ever written,” states group founder Ian Ross. “It documents the aftermath of trauma; the dissection of damage and the endurance that follows when survival becomes an… Read More »FLESH FIELD : ‘On Enmity’ – new album by US electro-industrial act out today!

[7

post-18594","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news
["GET
