It was my first night out since mid December when Melita and I saw Alicia Witt in Evanston. I missed 2 shows I had anticipated in early January due to the flu. The show last Friday Feb 6th I had been pushing online and on the podcast for 2 months and I was greatly looking forward to it. I would be surprised how easy the commute would be even though it was near the airport. <\/p>\n\n\n

I got to my bus stop and within 2 minutes my bus arrived at 5:56 PM and I got to the Irving Park Blue Line train station and only waited 1 minute for my train to arrive at 6:29 PM and then waited outside at the Cumberland Station for about 15 minutes when the bus arrived at 7:03 PM where it sat for about 10 minutes and 7 stops later I was at the venue. The entire thing was door to door and only cost $2.25.<\/p>\n\n\n

Once inside I was greeted by the publicist Evan and saw Dave McAnally the front man for the headlining band where he set up my bar tab. I ordered a dirty martini and was quick to lean they really know how to make good cocktails at this place. <\/p>\n\n\n

Still riding the high from Friday night at GOAT Village. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Huge thanks to everyone who came out and supported \u2014 we felt that energy on stage. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Awesome turnout, the amount of people who came up to me and thanked me, those who I took photos with it was a blast!! The bands took in more than the guarantees with a nice walk up crowd. Absolutely loved the vibe at Goat Village<\/a>, we had punks, rockers and metal heads thrashing out to the different types of music. Would You Kindly?<\/a>Strident Escape<\/a> & Derision Cult<\/a> were masterful and by the response from the crowd they loved it! Met some new friends and saw some old friends I haven\u2019t seen in a while. AND I made it in one piece to Cincinnati!! Good night Goat Village, good night Norridge\u2026 until Next time!
