\u2018Light Of Other Days\u2019 is the fourth album by Lost Signal <\/strong>aka US electronic musician Charles Rehill. It is a relatively swift follow-up to \u2018Anatomy Of Melancholy\u2019, issued in late 2024 as the first Lost Signal album for sixteen years. Both albums have been released by Metropolis Records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Framed by the instrumental overture \u2018Departure’ and its closing counterpart \u2018Return’, \u2018Light Of Other Days\u2019 is an emotional journey through themes of memory, mortality and hope. Songs like ‘Dream Within A Dream’ and ‘Before Today’ wrestle with despair, resilience and the illusions we all cling to, while \u2018Entropy’ expands the frame to cosmic finality. The album is a haunting meditation on what we remember, what we invent and what inevitably fades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Entropy\u2019 was issued in late August as the album’s first single, followed in October by ‘Not The End Of Me\u2019, which was made available as part of a remix package EP (including treatments by Assemblage 23, Magic Wands and SYSTEM SYN) that also included new versions of \u2018Entropy\u2019 (by genCAB and Rehill himself).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based in New York State, Rehill\u2019s musical career began in the late \u201890s when he signed his first record deal while still in his teens. Production and sound design work subsequently led to jobs working for synth manufacturers. A collector of hardware electronic equipment, he is inspired by the melodic vibrancy of composers ranging from Vangelis to \u00d3lafur Arnalds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
