Darkwave band, THE POLYBIUS CABINET <\/strong>have just unleashed their debut album,Level 1.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Level 1<\/em><\/strong> brings an electro \/ new wave sound that\u2019s dark but upbeat, occasionally driven by a goth rock \/ deathrock sound. Occasional video game-inspired sounds appear on the album to reference the band name and album title.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“While listening to Level 1, one must think of it exactly as that. The start of a journey of discovery as a project. Each member brings with them a variety of individual influences” – Markus Galvatron<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lyrics of each song on Level 1<\/em><\/strong> are based on the observations of others’ experiences seen through the eyes of vocalist, Miguel de la Cruz. Relationship struggles, heartbreak, loss and grief are themes that commonly appear throughout the album. Occultism is another common theme that runs through songs such as “Cisco”, “La Tumba” and “Doorway”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Level 1<\/em><\/strong> is an album that doesn’t play by the rules or ahere to a pre-defined pattern or formula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
