“‘Eaten Alive’<\/strong> was inspired by the true story of my great uncle Joe Ball,\u201d frontman and band co-founder Phil Davis says. \u201cIt perfectly fit the album\u2019s dark themes, so we knew it had to be included. Fun fact: Tobe Hooper\u2019s film Eaten Alive<\/em><\/strong> was loosely based on the Butcher of Elmendorf aka Joe Ball.”  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI wrote this music while playing with Dead Boys<\/strong>,\u201d says guitarist and band co-founder Jason \u201cGinchy\u201d Kottwitz, \u201cit\u2019s very much in that spirit. It wasn\u2019t until after I gave it to Phil that I learned about his family\u2019s \u201cdark secret.\u201d This just confirmed my suspicions about our singer \u2013 and why I like to keep my guitar solos short. He might feed me to the \u2018gators.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
