When every glance at the news, every second stuck in traffic, every moment spent working a job you hate makes you feel that now is the time&#8221; says band founder&nbsp;<strong>Samuel Sherwood<\/strong>. The record is a bold and unflinching exploration of suicide, societal rejection, drug use, and revolution.&nbsp;<strong>Dawn Fades<\/strong>&nbsp;fuses post-metal\u2019s dynamic depth with heavy sludge \u2014 drawing comparisons to Neurosis, Yob, Isis, Deftones and Cult of Luna, while forging a sound distinctly their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe genesis of this album,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Sherwood<\/strong>&nbsp;says, \u201cis the track \u2018<strong>Numbers<\/strong>\u2019 which was written in 2020 during the George Floyd protests. This collection of songs is a rejection of the world as it stands, and a search for the path forward.&nbsp; Maybe we don\u2019t know the right answer but we all need to start looking with eyes open.\u201d Album formats include vinyl LP and digital, pre-order&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/flypr.benchurl.com\/c\/l?u=12E691BA&amp;e=1A4CB52&amp;c=10952&amp;&amp;t=0&amp;l=EAB52A4&amp;email=WmFdhaXAJVKVgi8dFUx9xfSj1o6va%2B1hNyIeD9VsXLU%3D&amp;seq=2\">HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sherwood<\/strong>, a life-long drummer, started the band in 2016 when he was forced to step away from his instrument after developing chronic pain. He taught himself guitar as a means to maintain his sanity. \u201cI had played drums continuously since the age of nine. Sometimes you don\u2019t realize what a blessing it is to lose something until you get through it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sherwood<\/strong>\u2019s intense vocal presence anchors the band alongside&nbsp;<strong>Mike Wright<\/strong>&nbsp;(guitar), who was previously in a touring band signed to a Seattle indie label and worked with legendary producer\/engineer Sylvia Massy,&nbsp;<strong>Nate Hertweck<\/strong>&nbsp;(guitar), founding member of Ocelot Robot and Dinosaur Tooth, and&nbsp;<strong>Markus Erren Pardi\u00f1as<\/strong>&nbsp;(bass), hailing from Germany where he released three albums with hard rock band Flying Circus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>III<\/em><\/strong>, was recorded and produced by&nbsp;<strong>Dawn Fades<\/strong>&nbsp;in 2023-2024. Drums were recorded with&nbsp;<strong>Josh Newell<\/strong>&nbsp;(<strong>Intronaut<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Linkin Park<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>NPR Tiny Desk<\/strong>&nbsp;Technical Director) and mixed by&nbsp;<strong>Mario Quintero<\/strong>&nbsp;(<strong>Spotlights<\/strong>).&nbsp;The band has shared the stage with Dreadnought, Circle of Sighs, Old Blood, Destroy Judas, Spotlights, REZN, King Buffalo, Ragana, Holy Grove, Ranges, Man Mountain, Future Usses, Sixes, Dawn Rayd, Yidhra, Karas, Sutratma, Sol, Friendship Commanders, and Dead Register. Their previous two albums (<strong>&nbsp;<em>Dawn Fades<\/em><\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong><em>Ode<\/em><\/strong>) were release by&nbsp;<strong>Metal Assault Records<\/strong>&nbsp;in 2019 and 2021 respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The album cover for&nbsp;<strong><em>III<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;was hand-drawn by my friend from way back: Ryan Spahr,\u201d explain&nbsp;<strong>Sherwood<\/strong>. \u201cHe has a very particular marker style that I&#8217;ve always admired. When I was looking for ideas for the cover, I noticed Ryan had done a kind of \u2018The Masque of the Red Death\u2019 style piece. I knew that was it.
