Former HANOI ROCKS<\/strong> frontman Michael Monroe<\/strong> has canceled his participation in this fall’s U.S. tour as the support act for BUCKCHERRY<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier today (Tuesday, August 26),Michael<\/strong>‘s social media was updated with the following message: “Unfortunately, Michael Monroe<\/strong> will be unable to join BUCKCHERRY<\/strong> on tour next month as planned.<\/p>\n\n\n

BUCKCHERRY<\/strong> added in a separate statement: “Due to an unexpected immediate knee surgery, Michael Monroe<\/strong> will be unable to perform as the direct support act on the BUCKCHERRY<\/strong> fall tour of the U.S from September 21 through October 25. Replacing Michael<\/strong> will be Atlanta based rockers NASHVILLE PUSSY<\/strong>! DREW CAGLE & THE REPUTATION<\/strong> open all shows EXCEPT at The Whisky A Go Go where THE VIOLENT HOUR<\/strong> featuring ex BUTCHER BABIES<\/strong> vocalist Carla Harvey<\/strong> will open. The Monroe<\/strong> band’s all-star lineup features former HANOI ROCKS<\/strong> and NEW YORK DOLLS<\/strong> bass player Sami Yaffa<\/strong>, who has played with Michael<\/strong> since the ’80s. On guitar duties are Rich Jones<\/strong> (formerly of the Ginger Wildheart<\/strong> band) and Steve Conte<\/strong> (best known as the guitarist who filled the void left by Johnny Thunders<\/strong> in the NEW YORK DOLLS<\/strong>, as well as playing guitar with many other name acts such as Suzi Quatro<\/strong>, Eric Burden<\/strong> and many more) and drummer Karl Rockfist<\/strong> (who has played with notable acts such as DANZIG<\/strong>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
