I’d like to say that Thomas was in rare form but when he’s on his game he’s on his game and this loving overdue conversation is testament of that. I knew going in that there was no way that even though we only had 4 songs chosen that we’d be able to keep it at an hour. It went over 2 hours. In context the interviews that we did in MK ULTRA Magazine are the lengthiest I’ve ever done along with the late Peter Steele who is also discussed in this podcast. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of this writing \/ update 8\/27\/2025 it appears that Jackie and I are going to the Devils Night show in Tampa Oct 30th. She’s getting the hotel and rental car so all I have to do is secure my flight. Pretty cool. I did a lot of research to find a good place to stay near the venue. (There’s also a Culver’s in close proximity)<\/p>\n\n\n

It’s been a very busy morning. Busier than most Mondays Early in the morning I was on the phone and a Zoom meeting with Josh and we’re trying to get the photo galleries on the site in order. Melita was getting her coffee and was off for work and I didnt even have a minute to tell her to have a nice day. She’d just reply “Don’t tell me what to do.” We’re slowly getting there but have hit a few bumps along the way. <\/p>\n\n\n

Then I had to immediately bike over to my new doctors office which is luckily in my neighborhood.It was not as brief as a visit has my last one was back on 7\/14 and since that date I have lost 14 lbs and she also lowered my Lisinopril dosage for the first time in well over a decade. Maybe 2 decades. The biking regime and the dietary restrictions are working in my benefit. I can’t believe some of that intense heat I was biking in. I figure I have 2 more good months to stay this course and then I’ll make it an hour or more of walking daily. After 2 hours plus of being in the doctor’s office which was scheduled to only be 20 minutes I biked back out to Graceland to get another hour in this morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wednesday morning I have to go back to get more blood tests and then see the doc again in 6 weeks to see how I’m coming along I feel great and I haven’t had any sleeping issues for months.<\/p>\n\n\n

Potter Palmer<\/strong> (May 20, 1826 \u2013 May 4, 1902) was an American businessman who was responsible for much of the development of State Street<\/a> in Chicago<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Palmer was the first owner to advertise with large window displays that included price comparisons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Palmer’s doctor urged him to get out of the business in 1865 because of ill health, he brought in partners Marshall Field<\/a> and Levi Leiter<\/a>. The trio joined forces and renamed the firm Field, Palmer, Leiter and Company. The store would eventually develop into the prominent Midwestern department store chain Marshall Field and Company<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He built several buildings along State Street “on three-fourths of a mile frontage,” including the Palmer House Hotel<\/a>. When his buildings were destroyed in the Great Chicago Fire<\/a>, Palmer borrowed $1.7 million to rebuild, the largest amount lent to a private individual up to that time. He reclaimed the swampland north of Chicago’s commercial district, developing it into Lake Shore Drive<\/a>. Potter Palmer also moved the city’s main commercial district from Lake Street, which ran east and west, to State Street, which ran north and south, parallel with the lake the way Chicago’s downtown is currently oriented. Potter Palmer is also responsible for widening State Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Palmer is buried in Graceland Cemetery<\/a> in the north side neighborhood known today as Uptown, Chicago<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n
