It\u2019s part Star Trek, part John Waters, and unapologetically, spectacularly gay.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>THE COCKS\u2019 sophomore album Endless Hummer lands in 2026, with more singles and videos arriving in the coming months. Frontman Zsa explains, \u201cOn this one, we challenged ourselves to deliver a song in quadruple-entendre\u2014something slamming and sexy that leaves you wondering if we\u2019re talking about a margarita, their morning coffee, or, well\u2026you know. I think we nailed it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The music video for \u201cSugar on the Rim\u201d takes The Cocks penchant for debauchery into deep space\u2014a campy mini-epic where the boys get roofied and shanghaied at an intergalactic gay bar. \u201cWe\u2019ve been toying with the idea of a web series for a while, so we treated this as a test flight,\u201d shares Zsa. \u201cIt\u2019s part Star Trek, part John Waters, and unapologetically, spectacularly gay!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Look for the release of THE COCKS debut album &#8220;Endless Hummer&#8221; in October, with an additional advance single and new video coming in late August!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTHE COCKS are a chaotic mix of things that shouldn\u2019t go together\u2014punk rock, glam, metal, and a dash of The Monkees. Oh, and were a gay punk band with only one gay member. But somehow, it all makes perfect sense.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So says frontman Zsa, the loquacious ringleader of THE COCKS, a four-piece out of Los Angeles blending Ramones-style hooks, Mot\u00f6rhead grit, and Turbonegro swagger\u2014all served up with cheeky wit at maximum volume. With songs like \u201cIt\u2019s Better Being Gay,\u201d\u201cCheeseburgers &amp; Dick,\u201d and \u201cBrotein,\u201d subtlety isn\u2019t exactly the point. THE COCKS come in loud, fast, and unapologetically gay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Cocks started off as a low-key side project,\u201d says Zsa, \u201cbut by the time we had a full set, we realized we were accidentally a really great band.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Joining Zsa in the madness are guitarist Tchad Drats, whose stinging licks and Johnny Thunders-inspired solos come wrapped in a guitar slung so low it breaks local ordinances; drummer Mike McCormick, a hard-hitting Canadian ex-pat who felt he \u201ccould only be fulfilled by joining a punk rock band that shamelessly celebrated gay sex\u201d; and bassist Jason Halogen, the final piece of the puzzle.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/mkultramagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/THE-COCKS-CD.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14915\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mkultramagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/THE-COCKS-CD.jpg 400w, https:\/\/mkultramagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/THE-COCKS-CD-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mkultramagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/THE-COCKS-CD-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>\u201cJason\u2019s the guy that keeps the whole thing locked down,\u201d says Drats. \u201cBesides being a total rock star, he\u2019s the only one who ever remembers how the songs go.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And then there\u2019s Zsa himself\u2014part David Lee Roth, part Bugs Bunny, 100% rock and roll showman, commanding center stage with air-siren vocals and his trademark sailor hat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since dropping their debut album Loads of Fun in 2022 \u2014 produced by SoCal punk legend Greg Hetson (Circle Jerks)\u2014 THE COCKS have made a name for themselves with high-octane live shows and a social media presence that plays like a chaotic, punk rock version of The Monkees. Their sophomore album, Endless Hummer, due October 2025 \u2014 promises more of the cheeky, unapologetic, celebratory spirit that continues to make THE COCKS a Southern California club favorite. Their message is clear: gay or straight, it\u2019s all about the music and the rock \u2018n roll party.
