New Zealand dark electro band, ROBOTS IN LOVE<\/strong> smash the wall between rock and electronic music with debut album, Activate!<\/em><\/strong>  With this new album, ROBOTS IN LOVE<\/strong> transforms uninhibited, naked emotion into a powerful, unforgettable sonic experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of the songs on Activate!<\/em><\/strong> take a \u201cdystopian\u201d perspective; \u201cBreak The Code\u201d and \u201cThe Sequel\u201d for example. Others like \u201cEntwine\u201d address both desire and anticipation. The album ends with \u201cFire Heals\u201d, a devastatingly beautiful story of loss, wrapped in a stunning symphonic arrangement that will leave you craving more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the most consistent and important theme of the album is perhaps that of \u201cbreaking free of the darkness\u201d. Vocalist, Elenor says, “It’s my advice to people to venture into the darkness but not to stay there. For example, in “Wolves Cry” the lyrics are: “hear the danger and run from night, love is stronger into light”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Musical inspiration for the album comes from the creative collision between vocalist \/ producer Elenor Rayner and drummer \/ producer Alex Burchell.  Elenor says, \u201cFor an album that’s so precise and meticulously produced, it  developed organically, and I think that’s what makes it work so well. There are no distinct influences on our music, the songs take their own shape as we work on them together.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two years in the making, Activate!<\/em><\/strong> creates a cinematic journey, demolishing genre boundaries and creating a sound that’s uniquely their own.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
