May 7th, 2025 – WITCHHANDS <\/strong>has announced the release of Vox Nihili<\/em><\/strong> – a re-imagined and re-recorded version of the first WITCHHANDS<\/strong> album, A Voice and Nothing More<\/strong><\/em> with the 2025 band lineup.

Some tracks like \u201cOzymandias\u201d, \u201cMephisto\u201d, and \u201cDerelict\u201d got a polish and are played slightly faster. Other changes included extended sections, removed verses and a new feel. \u201cMephisto\u201d, however, was essentially a demo when it went on the debut album. Some of the songs got new arrangements, like \u201cBelie\u201d, \u201cNight Falls\u201d, and the WILSON PICKETT<\/strong> cover of \u201cIn the Midnight Hour\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some tracks are essentially new songs with a slight relation to their counterparts from 2018 – those being \u201cSabastian\u201d, “Demon\u2019s” &  “Darkness\u201d. Bookending the album are title track, \u201cVox Nihili\u201d and the intro, \u201cEmpty Voices\u201d, which were composed just for the new release. Most notably, along with different players on Bass and Guitar, the band has been without a keyboard for several years. So not a single track has synths or keys for the first time on any of their releases.

May 1st was chosen as the release date since it coincides with May Day, International Workers Day, and Beltane. It marks the start of Spring in the ancient world and feels like a rebirth for the band. The lineup is more solid and in sync than it’s ever been, as if fully coming into its own.

All our work deals in dark, existential themes and it’s an expression of being aware of the world and its hard times. There’s horror and beauty.
