Jonathan Pool and Mike Oberlin had for many years discussed forming a band based on power pop bands they loved. Having both played in many punk bands around the Chicago scene over the years, this project became an exercise in focusing on melody and the craft of song while still retaining the energy and emotion of their punk roots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the addition of Annie Saunders and Tim Reynolds the band has a shared history of multiple decade\u2019s worth of midwestern punk in one band that is decidedly not punk.
