Long Island black n\u2019 roll miscreants\u00a0FUNERAL DANCER<\/strong>\u00a0is proud to announce the impending release of their second EP\u00a0Fiends of the Outer Wave<\/em>, due out April 4 via Dark Empire Records.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No Clean Singing<\/em> has graciously premiered the band\u2019s vampiric lyric video \u201cManananggal,\u201d writing:

\u201cThe song\u2019s name appears to refer to a mythical vampire-like creature in the Philippines, a hideous bat-winged thing usually depicted as a female that is able to separate its upper torso from the lower part of its body, with intestines trailing out.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like that creature and the frighteningly macabre cover art for this new single, as well as the vampiric and otherwise diabolical clips in the lyric video, FUNERAL DANCER<\/strong>\u2018s song is a fiendish concoction \u2014 feral, fierce, and steeped in classic traditions of horror and \u201980s heavy metal \u2014 but it\u2019s a hard-rocking, head-hooking, and increasingly delirious affair as well.\u201d<\/em>

Hailing from Long Island, FUNERAL DANCER<\/strong> crawled from the wreckage of Lotus Mortus<\/strong> in 2019 with a singular mission to fuse the band\u2019s rotted and blackened roots with Thin Lizzy-style twin guitar harmonies, \u201880s metal hooks, and the technicality of extreme metal. 

Recorded by the band and mixed and mastered by Kyle Miller (Conglaciation<\/strong>), Fiends of the Outer Wave<\/em> is eight genre-blurring tracks of madness sure to leave corpse-painted purists and denim-clad headbangers throwing horns in unison. The band\u2019s chaotic visual aesthetic was handled by Chilean artist Sing Wan Chong Li, whose collage-style artwork reflects the band\u2019s sonic approach\u2014layering different influences into one unholy package. 

FUNERAL DANCER<\/strong> states: \u201cTHIS SHIT IS FOR TRUE FUCKING NOSFERATU VAMPIRE ROCKER METAL MANIACS.\u201d

Additionally, none other than Dark Empire Records founder Dwid Hellion (Integrity<\/strong>, PSYWARFARE<\/strong>) has raved about the band, calling the quintet, \u201cEvil M\u00f6tley Cr\u00fce!\u201d
