Berlin-based darkwave artist Night Nail has just dropped “Vile Train,” their first digital single from the highly-anticipated full-length album “Infinite Fountain” on Icy Cold Records (France). Accompanied by a new video, the song “Vile Train” was born from a haunting revelation experienced by Night Nail’s Brandon Robert amidst the ash-choked ruins of Pompeii, Italy. Inspired by a Roman fresco depicting an angel and demon in a tragic embrace, Brandon wove a narrative about two dreamers from separate modern realities who collide at the edge of their daydreams, only to be consumed by an obsession that quickly curdles into a nightmare. They wear each other’s black leather pants, share cigarettes, and make love; however, as the obsession wears thin, they become eternally trapped in a psychological cage of their own making. The song is a sonic assault of “dark and brutal truths about love sung in a twisted but beautiful way,” according to Brandon. “Vile Train” was mixed and post-produced by William Faith at 13 Studio in Chicago and was co-produced by Night Nail in Berlin, Germany with additional vocals and guitar by VV & the Void. “Infinite Fountain” is available for presale on Bandcamp and will be released on November 6, 2026, by Icy Cold Records.
