“Jesus H. Christ, Pete. When you gonna learn that microwave food’ll kill you faster than a bullet? I mean, them damn burritos ain’t good for nothing but a hippie, when he’s high on weed.” [

It seems like every update lately has been talk of weather and this summer is full of extremes. Its the craziest weather season for a summer that I can recall. Dangerous heat, torrential thunderstorms and tornado and the forest fire smoke from Canada. I’ve never had to use my AC so soon for so consistently in any year that I’ve lived here. My apartment is expensive to cool off I should mention my June electric bill was $177 and my July is $159. Its usually only that high in August and that’s when I’m being conservative. So with my current situation it pisses me off.

Insane weather week. Stuck inside for 5 days

07/16/2026 UPDATE: The Argyle Night Market is CANCELLED tonight!
After closely monitoring the air quality situation and updated forecasts for later this evening, the Argyle Night Market will be cancelled tonight, July 16th. The market will be back starting next week and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to the corridor then!

I binged the latest season of Dark Winds while confined to the house for a week. I really miss visiting the American south west

07/18/2026 I can’t believe that I can finally relive one of my earliest concert experiences. I saw this tour at 15 in Wheeling WV and became a lifelong BOC fan and finally got to hang with them in 1998. When I moved to Dallas TX in 1983 I only bought 2 LP’s. One was Blue Oyster Cult Extraterrestrial Live and they signed it for me in June 1998. If you’re wondering the other album was What Do You Want from Live the debut live album released by The Tubes, recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon, London.
Black and Blue is a live video by hard rock bands Black Sabbath and Blue Öyster Cult filmed during their 1980 co-headlining tour of the United States, known as the “Black and Blue Tour”. The film was originally released to theaters in 1981 as a concert film. It was later released on VHS, Betamax and laserdisc video format, but has not been officially released on DVD.
The two bands’ October 17, 1980 performances at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Hempstead, New York were filmed and used as part of the December 6, 1980 episode of Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert. The recorded footage was edited together into the concert film Black and Blue, which was released to theaters in 1981 after the conclusion of the tour. Following its initial release, the film played for some time on the theatrical midnight movie circuit in the United States. In the 1980s, it was released for the home video market in VHS format by Polygram Video in the UK, and by Warner Bros.

Sadly that we only get 4 months of tolerable outside weather This summer the porch has been used less than any summer that I’ve lived here. Its been a non stop game of keeping up with the weather. I’ve got to cover and uncover based on the elements which this year fucking sucks. Lots of weather damage so I’ll need to replace pillows for next season, if I’m still alive.

It is beautiful at night.
